Bryan Cogman, Writing Partner = HBO Superhero

Game of Thrones, the new fantasy series based on the novels  by George R.R. Martin, has been greenlit by HBO, and my writing partner and Juilliard classmate Bryan Cogman, has been greenlit with it!

He is the script coordinator, and is the writer of the fourth episode!  Therefore, I dub him: The Green Lantern.

In keeping with the green theme he will be in Ireland, so we’ve agreed all future collaborations will use the word ‘feck’ and the name ‘Ab Sheehan.’

Life Imitates Art- Google Meets Goldstrom Meets China

In 2005 I wrote the film Press or Say 2 which explored the relationship between China (Communist) and IBM (Capitalist), when Lenovo, a Chinese company, bought IBM’s computer making division. Notice how there’s no more IBM computers around?

The question I explored was: how would a communist company deal with tech support – that supremely capitalist form of customer service?

My imagined result pretty much matched the reality: The Chinese government has hacked into the world’s computers, starting with Google.
